Black Seas of Infinity
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.
– H.P. Lovecraft

The Broken Promise
Its not easy to write this, Father.
This writing was supposed to stay in my diary forever. But I thought this would serve as a bottled message for some souls seeking refuge. Travelling across the vast digital oceans, it might reach someone in need.
I always considered us to be special. Blessed by the gods.
To lead an ideal, good and happy life. Believing all the good quotes thrown at me.
Do good, good thing will come back.
God helps those who help.
God saves the good ones.
Good things take time.
But turns out we were not that special after all. We are a mere dust floating in space. To be blown away anytime. Constantly living under the mercy of nature.ย And if nature says its time, we are washed away like the hopeless little rocks under the immense force of a flood. No one knows where it goes.
I was ready for everything in life. Prepared to take on whatever is thrown at me. But I wasn’t ready for this. I wasn’t prepared to see you in a room filled with lifeless bodies.ย
Because you had promised me.
You had promised that you will stay with me and watch me grow. You said we will grow together, play with dogs, play with my kids. Somehow that’s the foundation I built myself upon and was never prepared to see you leave soon.ย
But I was wrong. We were wrong. We never understood nature.ย Nature doesn’t care how good you are. It doesn’t care about your place on earth. It doesn’t care about your responsibilities.ย It doesn’t care about consequences. There are no consequences for nature. It’s only for the mortals.ย We both ended up building illusions on top of the illusion of life.
May be its another day for the hospital. Another day for the world. But not for me. My world stopped that day while others were still running on that day.ย You don’t know how many times I wished it was a bad dream. But it wasn’t.
Some lessons are learnt in the most cruelest ways.
Universe will let you down.
Gods won’t save you at the last moment.
Miracles don’t happen.
Promises will be broken.
I don’t care about the gods. All I think about is the nature. I have respect for nature now. But I’m not afraid of it. You have given me all the skills to survive in this wild nature, Father.
I’m sure I was the only thing you thought about when your life flashed for the last time before leaving the body. Don’t worry. In case you are seeing me from other dimensions, I love you. I will keep your flame of hope alive. May be its not as bright as it used to be. But I will keep it alive. Someday, some human might need it. I will pass it along.

The Butterfly Effect
Deep in the woods, where lights are afraid
There lied an egg
With all the flowers gazing
Wondering what’s inside
While the predators wanted an
Immature, weak, wingless nymph
To be preyed upon and devoured
Like the countless lives on the floor
The egg slowly hatched
She turned out to be a beautiful butterfly
Gloriously fluttering her wings
Spreading her colors and fragrance
All over the dense woods
And the dark skies
The forest turned all bright
Because a single egg decided to turn into a butterfly
That’s her Butterfly Effect

Such People Much Wow
I donโt know if itโs my bad karma. But every now and then, someone will initiate a conversation with
“10,000 years ago they made this and scientists canโt explain till now”
“Modern science discovered it recently. But we know this 5,000 years ago”
“Alien Technology”
“Even NASA scientists were unable to explain”
The people who start such conversations are those that get excited by learning random facts from snippets, tabloids, and social media feeds. With these random facts, they constantly try to find a link between something that sounds scientific and something that is old.
Their ultimate weapon to all the logical questions : โThe ancient world was beyond our comprehensionโ
You can ask something like : Okay, but what about their energy/power source? transportation? food? There should be evidence or remnants of these if they were so advanced.
Their reply will be : No. It is beyond our comprehension. They were so advanced.
Juggling buzzwords is their other favourite weapon.
โBlackhole, Nebula, Galaxy, Fibonacci, Pi, Quantum, Time Travel, Rockets, Aliens, UFO, Radiation, Fusionโ
And for no particular reason, once in a while, they refer Nikola Tesla and his inventions. Why?
May be it adds that extra mystery to the already mythical, forbidden, unexplainable, impossible, rare, oldest, ancient knowledge.
These guys create a complex web of unrelated things to prove that the ancient civilizations were superior and technologically advanced. They carefully intertwine lies and truth to give an impression that the modern human race is evil and inferior.
Were the ancients more spiritual? May be
Did the ancients have good knowledge of medicine, astronomy? May be
Were the architecture far ahead of their times? May beWere they technologically superior to the present world? Definitely Not
Donโt sell me this.
Over the years, I lost my energy arguing with such people. I no longer take this fierce battle.
Whenever their sword approaches me with : Did you know the ancients were superior?
I just use my mighty shield : Hmmmโฆ May be.
But what is disturbing the most is, this belief does not seem to be confined to a particular culture, race or geography. It appears to be widespread. Every religion or race is trying to glorify its past and is following the same process : Dig up the remnants of their glory, wash away the truths, polish it, decorate with lies, and claim the superiority.
We are definitely not technologically inferior to dudes who lived 1,000 years ago.
And No. The human race is not going towards a self-destruction mode. Although it is chaotic, the time we live is probably the best to steer the world to a new era.
